DATE: Friday, April 6th, 2018 6:30-11:00                   

LOCATION: The Renaissance Hotel (201 Tallapoosa St, Montgomery, AL 36104)

REGISTRATION: Begins @ 6:00                                  

SENIOR LEAD IN: 6:30 (Seniors arrive BY 6:15)

1.  No guest over the age of 20 will be admitted.

2.  Everyone must notify your committee member of who they will be taking to prom. Physical tickets will not be handed out this year so if you or your date isn’t on the list … NO ADMISSION!

3.  Prom tickets are non-refundable.  All transfers must happen in front of Mrs. Traywick no later than March 23rd, 2018.  SENIOR LEAD-IN TICKETS ARE FOR YOUR PARENTS TO ATTEND LEAD IN! TWO TICKETS PER SENIOR MAY BE PURCHASED. THESE WILL BE $5 EACH!

4.  Tickets are $55 dollars each and can be paid via paypal on the school website. If you do not have the means to pay via credit/debit card then you may pay the school directly. See Payment Form for details. You will pay your committee member.

5.  Code of Conduct: Please refer to Page 9 of the student handbook regarding conduct and discipline as well as rules regarding admission guidelines following a disciplinary action. Any behavior deemed inappropriate by the administration will be grounds for expulsion from Prom. Remember, this is a school related event.


1.  Chilton County High School Prom is a school event. Dress code regulations must be followed by all students attending – including current students and off-campus guests.  Guidelines will be strictly enforced. Students, including guests, not in compliance with Dress Code will not be admitted and refunds will not be issued.

2. Dresses and attire that reflect modesty are required. The most difficult task for administrators and teachers is the determination of modesty. Traditional interpretations are often at odds with fashion and cultural trends. This is easily avoidable if the following guidelines are observed. DRESSES MUST BE APPROVED BEFORE PROM. THIS GOES FOR OUTSIDE GUESTS AS WELL! Front and back photos of you in your dress must be presented. The photo must show your face as well.



1. Young men are expected to wear formal evening attire that would include a tuxedo, suit with a tie, or sport coat and slacks with a tie.


1. The neckline of a dress, top, or gown must be cut in a modest way without showing an excessive amount of cleavage. Spaghetti straps or strapless dresses are allowed, as long as they are not low cut.

2. The cut of a dress in the back and sides must not be cut below the navel (below your elbow).


1. A dress, skirt, or gown must be longer than mid-thigh.

 2. Slits in a dress/skirt may be no higher than three (3) inches from the knee.


 1. No navel is allowed to show.

2. Two piece dresses are allowed if the space between top and skirt is less than two inches.

3. The bodice of the dress must not have any fabric cutouts in the cleavage area. If elsewhere, it must be covered by netting and less than an inch opening.

 4. Dresses should not be excessively tight.

 5. No cover-ups (coats, shawls, sweaters) will be allowed over dresses that do not meet dress code.

DISCLAIMER:  Claims that a dress was worn at last year’s Prom or at Homecoming will not be discussed. Some girls may wear the same dress, but due to body types, one dress may be acceptable while the other is not. Students should therefore err on the side of caution and not put school administrators in the difficult position of upholding school standards. Having been specifically forewarned, we expect nothing less than full cooperation from students and their parents on this issue
